Chapter 2 - Choice

Choice

“Riiko!” Juko shouted at her daughter “Have you learnt the chants that your teachers told you learn?”
Riiko was playing the piano where her mother called. Just when Riiko was about to open her month her mother jumped in
“Honestly, do you have plans to bring this family name down to the ground you ungrateful child”
Riiko just sat there trying to hold in her feelings
“What do I expected from a weak child” Juko said under her breath but Riiko heard it, and Juko left the room.
Filled with anger Riiko decided to sneak out and head toward the lake to visit her friend, Tai Yuu.

Tai was sitting by the river when he heard Riiko footsteps coming toward him. Seeing the look on her face, Tai knew what happen.
“They need to listen to you more often Riiko” Tai told her after listing to the story
Riiko only laugh “Yeah like that will ever do” Riiko lied on the grass and stared at the clouds “I wish there was I place we can go to”
“We!?” Tai looked at her
She smiled and gave a giggle “Yeah of course silly you have to come with me”
“Ok Miss Bossy” Tai rolled his eyes at her and Riiko stuck her tough out

After some time Riiko crawled back though her window and heard her brothers outside her door walking past. Riiko went to open it and they were already future down the hall. She sighed and looked down and there was a piece of paper on the floor, on it was information about a boarding school and that it was also a cram school for exorcists. Without a thought Riiko ran back to Tai with the piece of paper in her hands

Tai was about to leave when Riiko ran back
“Hey what’s up?” He asked confused
“I found a place” Riiko puffed handing him the piece of paper and Tai took it.
After reading it he didn’t know what to think
“We should enroll” Riiko said happily “Look we have the information lets do it”
Tai knew that she wanted this so badly and deep down he wanted to go too
“Alright, let’s go to school”

After a week went pass and Tai and Riiko got the accept letter. Riiko was sneaking out the house late at night with bags behind her.
“Nice night isn’t it?” a voice said making Riiko jumped.
Riiko turned around to face Subaru “Umm…” Riiko didn’t know how to explain herself
“So your going to Cross Academy, thought you might” Subaru said with a smile and Riiko looked confused “I was the one who was dropped that flyer. I was also hopping you would find it” Subaru walked up to her and placed his hand on her shoulder “Just promise to write ok and I’ll promise to pay for whatever you need.”
With that Riiko embrace her brother, crying “Thank you, I will” with that she went to meet up with Tai and headed for True Cross Academy
